Tumblr has turned into a posting place for melodramatic teenagers who hate their “horrible lives,” when they are probably leading great lives compared to a lot of teens. A place where above average looking teens fish for compliments from average looking, random teens. A place where they say they aren’t good enough. Where they say that no one will ever love them and that they are gonna end up alone. Where they are always the victim and it’s always someone else who has ruined them in one way or another. Where they say they don’t understand why people don’t include them, yet they are at home not getting involved. Where they complain about “popular kids” always getting rewarded or living better lives but they don’t know their story. A place where they can “escape” the pop trends and get away from everyone but when you look at their blogs, they all have the same pictures and they all write the same, yet they still claim to be original and above everyone else who is mainstream. Tumblr is full of hypocritical teenagers that have no idea who they actually are. These kids need a wake up call. They need to realize that not everyone is out to get them. Life is about making your own path. It’s not about blaming others for your current struggles. You have to make solutions, not dwell on problems. Life is too short to complain. Life is too short to hate or hold grudges. It’s too short to feel spite. Live day to day and don’t worry about why this person has this or why this person won this award. Worry about you and do what makes you happy. Stop over thinking everything and just live. You’ll win when you win. You’ll love when you love. You’ll be sad when you’re sad. You’ll be happy when you’re happy. You’ll know who you are when you know. And eventually we’ll all die when we breathe our last breath. We owe it to ourselves to be able to look back on our lives and say that we lived without inhibitions. To say that we enjoyed every breath we took and were grateful for every second we spent in this planet. That’s what life is about. Wether you choose the live it that way or not is up to you, but would you rather love the life you lived or regret what could’ve been? Stop, breathe, look around, and go. Live an amazing life.
